A mod pack that my friends and I have been curating for a while now. Uploaded here so it easier for us to share amongst ourselves and for the community if you would like to try it out too.
This mod pretty much overhauls every aspect of Skyrim. It adds giant monsters, reworks magic, completely changes the perk trees, ect... Due to this fact, I make absolutely no promises that it will play nice with any additional mods. We will constantly be adding to the mod list and making it more stable as time goes on.
Guide To Installing:
A fresh install of Skyrim is recommended for the best chance of success. Make sure there is nothing but the standard vanilla files when your download is done, as sometimes (as I have personally found) steam will pull old mod files and folders from the cloud. I use Special Edition with the free AE update, so I can ONLY promise that it should work with that version of the game. Theoretically though, it should work for the full AE as well.
The first step is to simply run Skyrim, you do not need to go past the launcher, but take this opportunity to set your resolution and graphics quality, as well as view distances.
Install SKSE from here: http://skse.silverlock.org . I recommend launching the SKSE after install just to make sure that everything is installed correctly.
Install the latest ENB files from here: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrimse.htm
Manually install the SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB preset from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1089 .I used file E in my playthrough.
Manually install Legacy of the Dragonborn from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11802 . You can manually download the file and then let vortex install it for you.
5B) (But really I finished the whole list and forgot this part so really its step 6) Manually install Part 2 of Engine fixes from here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230?tab=files
Add the modpack to vortex! Then go and like do your taxes or something because it is going to take quite a while depending on your internet speed.
While the modpack is downloading, get Wryebash, Loot, and sseedit installed and ready to go, downloads are as followed: Wrye https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6837 , SSEEDIT https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164 , LOOT https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918
When the pack is finally installed, address any file conflicts vortex comes up with, there shouldn't be any but the collections process is new and not all mod rules carry over from what I have experienced. Just make sure patches load last.
There are 3 other mods to download, 2 are required for the male bodies to work (I am sure you can guess what that is) and 1 optional one that will let you marry Serana.
The two required mods are as follows: SOS https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/5355-schlongs-of-skyrim-se/ , and a file that fixes some papyrus bugs allowing it to work properly (make sure it loads after sos as it is a patch) https://www.loverslab.com/topic/95031-schlongs-of-skyrim-se/page/135/ (you are looking for the post by rhinna, should be the second one down)
And the optional marry Serana mod is here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21938
At this point it is up to you if you would like to add sex mods to the game, you will find all of those on the same site that the SOS download took you. Either way, when you have finished adding the extra offsite mods, go ahead and deploy your mods again.
There are a few plugins we need to make sure are deactivated for other mods to work. Go into the plugins section on Vortex and disable the plugins LockRelatedLoot.esp, BDBirdWings.esp, and Fertility Mode - RSCHildren.esp.
Time to run Loot, this will let us know which files need to be quick cleaned using sseedit. I will not go into detail on exactly how to clean mods using sseedit, they have an entire walkthrough on the mod download page so please use that.
Fix any wild edits and clean any "dirty" mods that loot finds with sseedit. You will absolutely need to fix Dawnguard and potentially Undeath Remastered. You can find guides for how to do all of this from links Loot will give you or from the sseedit download page.
Once you have finally finished cleaning the mods, there is one last thing we need to do in sseedit in order for Hearthfire Extended to work properly... Please follow the guide on Hearthfire Extendeds mod page to address the clipping and overlap issues that will be present in the cellars of the Hearthfire homes: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8450 . You are looking for the section Extended Cellar Conflicts.
We should be done with sseedit at this point, now it is time to launch wryebash. Make sure that all plugins are checked on the side except for the same 3 plugins we disabled from step 11. Right click on BashedPatch0 and select the option to rebuild patch. Ignore the warning it might give and let it run, this tends to take a while so maybe get a coffee or a drink of some kind.
Finally, all we have to do now is run Nemesis to load our animations and we should be good to go. Boot up Nemesis and update the engine. Then select the boxes for: Precision, Combat Gameplay Overhaul, Payload Interpreter, Jump Behavior Overhaul, Movement Behavior Overhaul, SCAR, and all three True Directional Movement options. Then Launch the Behavior Engine.
Once that is done simply exit out and boot up skyrim via SKSE. I have tested this modpack using the exact steps listed here for the past few days and have not encountered any problems. BUT that does not mean someone else wont have random problems I cannot account for! So please, from this point on any and all bugs you encounter leave a comment so that I can figure out why it is happening and if there is a patch or a fix someone else has made already, or I can try to figure it out myself.
But please, enjoy the modpack! It has taken a lot of time to get it to the point it is now (Revision 3) to where I think it is actually a "completed" collection. Though it will never truly be complete and updates will come as new mods are released that improve the game even more. As for me, I am going to, FINALLY, actually play this damn game.
Please please please, comment any and all bugs and conflicts that happen in your playthrough, I am trying to make this the best possible modpack I can and I cannot do it without feedback.
