# Description

I put this together with the original game's engine in mind. I do not use OpenMW anymore, so this is mostly for the people still playing the old-fashioned way. Outside of performance improvements and the like, I selected things that feel "vanilla-plus," on their face.

The bulk of S\&S is dedicated to enabling vanilla features that are disabled due to scripting errors, fixing bugs, performance improvements, UI improvements, and NPC behaviors. The texture mods and lore-friendly concept art inclusions were selected with the vanilla game in mind.&#x20;

# Installation Notes

[MGE XE](https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41102), [MCP](https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/19510), and MWSE are necessary for this collection. You **MUST** download these from their respective pages separately. Follow the instructions on their pages for proper installation.

I recommend the exe version of the MGE XE bundled with the MWSE. Follow relevant instructions from the creators and during installation where prompted. See below for specific notes on the MCP.&#x20;

*Take Note:* Remiros' Groundcover requires that you run the distant land wizard in MGE XE with its associated plugins enabled (Rem\_Solstheim, Rem\_BC, Rem\_AC, Rem\_AI, Rem\_AL, Rem\_WG, and Rem\_GL), but do *not* enable these in your load order.

# Recommended Specs

A relatively modern PC will have no issues running this collection, it is not very graphically intensive. Pay close attention to your options in MGE XE if you have performance concerns, most of the possible issues will stem from getting overzealous with Distant Lands.
