# Before We Get Started

I know this list can be intimidating based on the wall of text before you, but this is just simple install instructions that I wanted to include to make sure everything works the same it does on my machine. This list is tweakable. You can add or remove or change settings, but make sure you read the descriptions of mods before removing anything because some mods might have dependents.

# Main features

*A few of my favorites*

- **FullAuto** *-*  This mod works by basically spamming click for you, but in a way that should be more reliable and precise than a macro. It does not actually alter any game play or weapon behavior. Rest assured that this mod falls squarely within Fatshark's modding policy, so you don't have to worry about it being flagged as cheating. **Can be disabled if you do not like it.**
- **Healthbars** - Show health bars from the Psykanium in regular game modes, toggleable by enemy class.
- **Hub Hotkey Menus** *-  This mod lets you assign hotkeys for the various menus you can find on  the Mourning Star. For example you can access the Mission Board from  anywhere on the ship by pressing a single key.*
- **KeepSwinging** *-* Spare your joints - use keybinds to spam light melee attacks for you. You can set a toggle keybind and a held keybind. **Can be disabled if you do not like it.**
- **LoadingLore** *-* This mod will overwrite the default loading screen messages to instead include a bunch of helpful tips sourced from the community. The user can select which kind of tips they'd like to see from the mod menu. The tips cover a lot of basic and not so basic things and there are also a couple of more generic lore bits.
- **LogMeIn** *-* Automatically hits space for you at the title screen and automatically selects your current character. Includes a hotkey to cancel the character selections.
- **Scoreboard** *-* Shows a scoreboard after missions.

# Before you start

Vortex now handles this for you and shouldn't be an issue. But if you are having an issue, you can manually install this step.  You may need to manually install [Darktide Mod Loader](https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/19/?tab=description) for everything to work. Instructions are listed on the mod page and in the Read Me file included in the mod.

If Vortex doesn't recognize Darktide as a game, go [here ](https://github.com/Darktide-Mod-Framework/Darktide-Vortex-Extension)and follow the guide for Vortex.

Run "toggle modding (patch/unpatch game files)" on the Dashboard tab of Vortex. If it says "Darktide is already patched" then click "No" and continue. If it says "Darktide is now patched" then continue.

Go to Darktide on Steam, right-click and open Properties then paste this into Launch Options, it should help with Out of Memory errors and CTDs.\

# Post-Install

After you install everything, click Deploy and then play.

You no longer need to worry about load order due to the [Auto Mod Loading and Ordering mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/246).

# Updating and Updates

When the game updates, run the "Toggle Modding" tool on the Darktide Dashboard. If it says "Darktide is already patched" then you don't need to patch.

Check for updates with mods regularly, I have the list set to download the latest versions instead of specific versions. This is so you don't have to wait on me to update the list when a mod or the game updates.
