Feel free to add or remove mods as you like, this is simply **my view** on how the game can be even better and give me even more fun.

Script Extender not auto-updating sometimes is a known issue, where the recommended is to go delete the previous versions and then launch the game again and it should be fixed. You can go to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\BG3ScriptExtender\ScriptExtender and delete everything that exists in there launch the game again and should give you the current version.

**DO NOT USE MOD FIXER!** There is no need for it in this collection, besides, Mod Fixer is part of multiple mods that reside within the collection.

Now, if you use BG3MM it will warn you that Script Extender is not installed, just ignore this a import/export the load order like you normally would, the game will show the Script Extender version on the bottom left corner.
All of this should already be configured, since I selected "Replicate" on my end (Collection Management in Vortex), but you know, Vortex being Vortex.

<details><summary>Updating the collection</summary>
- Everytime you update/add/remove mods, you should press "Purge" and then "Deploy" and apply the newest load order.
- Another tip for Updating the Collection, go to profiles, create a new profile. Change to that profile. Add the Collection again to Vortex and then after this new adding is done, you can remove the previous collection without selecting anything (don't remove the mods or archives, otherwise you will have to download everything again).
- After an Update if you find missing textures on bodies (or they turn black, it is more common amongst users to happen to Shadowheart) remove all of the shader mods, auto-reinstall the missing collection files, purge (accept any external changes reported), redeploy, import the load order lsx file. Great tip by [oranhayes](https://www.nexusmods.com/users/942833). The shader mods are the following.:

<details><summary>Additional Information</summary>
- Make sure everything is installed in the same drive ! e.g. Game, mods and mod manager all installed on (C:) (also not recommended to use an external driver).
- If asked by Vortex if you wish to install as replacer, please do so.
- If your Script Extender is having issues (not working or not updating) you can go to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\BG3ScriptExtender\ScriptExtender and delete everything that exists in there launch the game again and should give you the current version.
- After revision 235 if you are using bg3mm and import the .json, you will see a bunch of mods on the inactive side (left side), this is also intented and leave them there. Don't worry, the mods are working properly.
- Go to your Vortex Staging Folder, type "info" on search bar and you will see a bunch of "info.json" files, select them all and delete them, this will make your Vortex a bit faster and will resolve some conflicts.
- This collection is not compatible with any mods that use textures from Patch #5 onwards, this happens due to having the Shader mods, which makes the textures the previous ones (before Patch #5) if you want to use mods that have textures from current game version, you can delete/disable the Shader mods, take in mind that the Gith Textures or Orc Textures will no longer work.
- **Party Limit Begone.:** \
  **Camp sleeping bug**: Use one of the awake companions and talk to Lae'zel or reduce your party size to 4 before resting.\
  **Grymforge Map transition:** Reduce your party size to 4 members before sailing with the boat. If you already used it and your characters are stuck, dismiss the ones that are with you and sail back and forth to unstuck the rest.\
  Note: After using the boat a timed quest is triggered and going to camp will progess it.
- If your game is too difficult, you can disable the [Combat Extender](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/5207);
- The exlamation point on top of your character head is due to [Camp Event Notifications](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1879), basically tells you if you long rest now a scene will play out and if the exlamation point persists, means that you have more scenes on long rest.
- The mod that shows character approval on dialogue choices is called [OIO - Overexplained Interaction Options](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2631), tells you when you win or lose approval from companions and also tells you when you can start a romance or end it with certain dialogue choices.

<details><summary>Configurable Party Limits</summary>
**KNOWN ISSUES**\
The game was created with the intention of only ever having three total companions at a time, and because of that, there are a few issues that can arise. I will list them here:\
\
**Issue #1: Conversation Party Limits**\
Conversations are limited to the character speaking, and three party members. The game determines this based on who is closest to the speaker at the time of the conversation's initiation. Make sure to save often, so you can reload if you accidentally enter into a conversation without the party member you wanted for it.\
\
**Issue #2: Grymforge Boat Ride**\
The boat ride to Grymforge is scripted to only allow four party members, and so if you try to bring along more than four, some will get stuck at the dock, and not proceed across the river.\
\
The method for getting your characters across safely is listed below. If done correctly, all party members will cross the river safely. If done incorrectly, your party may turn invisible and become un-interactable. Create a save before using the boat, and follow these steps carefully:

- Unlink your party into groups of four or less.
- With the main group of four(the characters you wish to experience the dialogue while on the boat), take the boat ride to Grymforge, and grab the immediate waypoint located there.
- Now switch to the group left behind, and use the waypoint to teleport them over.

If for some reason your characters become invisible despite the method provided above, or you chose not to follow it, you can do this:

- Group the main character up with the invisible party members, and ungroup all visible party members. Then use the large Grymforge boat to cross the lake multiple times. Make sure you only have a party total of four. Continue crossing the lake until all members are visible.\\

**Issue #3: Sleeping Bug**\
There is a small chance that some party members will not wake up after a long rest. Here's how you can fix it:

- Switch to Lae'zel, or have an awake party member speak with her.
- Alternatively, use the Group Hide(Shift+C on keyboard) feature.\\

**Issue #4: Mod Isn't Working**\
If for some reason you have installed the mod but it is not functioning, try these things:

- Make sure you have the Script Extender installed.
- Save and Load your game.
- If that does not work, manually run the commands by following the instructions in the pinned comment.\\

**Issue #5: Crashing during Act 3**\
There have been reports of crashing during Act 3 if you have too many party members with you, and your PC has an older CPU. If you experience common crashes while taking every party member, try reducing your party size, and it might fix the issue.\

*Save your game first because you may come across problems that require loading your save.*\

***Make sure you have the newest version of Script Extender.***\

When you launch the game for the first time, you will receive a spell on your hotbar automatically. The spell looks like Seaming (blue with 3 masks on top of each other). If you remove this spell from your Hotbar, you won't get it back. You'll have to check your spellbook for the character to see the spell again and re-add it to your Hotbar.\
\
**Resculpt**\
\
This spell lets you change the body type or race of **ANY** character that casts it. Please follow these instructions step-by-step if you wish to use this feature:

- Before you begin, make sure you're on the\*\* newest version of the mod\*\* and your **script extender version is at minimum 8**.
- Select the character that you wish to edit. The character that casts the Resculpt spell will be the one that is edited, even in a multiplayer lobby.
- Casting the Resculpt spell will open the Character Creation Screen for \*\*EVERY \*\*player in the lobby. If you are in a multiplayer lobby, please tell the players that \*\*DID NOT CAST THE SPELL \*\*to select Dark Urge and hit confirm, confirming on the guardian screen as well, to exit out. Picking **Dark Urge** in this menu is how you **exit the menu** if you change your mind in either solo or multiplayer play.
- If you are the one who cast the spell, select the **Custom Origin** at the very top of the screen. **DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING ELSE**
- Modify the character's race, subrace, body type, and appearance however you want. \*\*ONLY THESE THINGS \*\*will be copied over. Voice is copied for Tavs but not Hirelings or Origins.
- Hit confirm (ignore the naming part, it doesn't matter) and hit confirm again on the Guardian screen. Nothing you do on the guardian screen matters so skip it by confirming forward.
- Your character should now change to the new appearance. If you see an extra character, or your appearance isn't changing, or any other issues, make sure you have followed the steps properly.
- There are some things you have to do after.
- - **Your portrait won't change until you enter the Mirror and confirm**. You don't have to change anything in the mirror, you just have to enter and confirm.
  - You won't get the new\*\* racial passives/spells\*\* **UNTIL **you** save and reload** the game.\\

**Mirror**\
\
This spell opens the mirror on any character to let you edit your character. If you are trying to edit an Origins character, you \*\*MUST \*\*install the optional **Appearance Edit Origins** file to be able to change what you see in the mirror.\
\
**Respec**\
\
This spell lets you respec as if you were talking to Withers. It does nothing else.

Multiplayer: **IT DOES WORK!** I only play BG3 Co-Op, I made the Collection to play with my friend initially. But if for some reason you can't connect to your friends or your friends to you, you all have to make sure everything is okay, needs to be the exact same. Same mod versions, same load order, same mods, same game version, SE version, some mods need to be set engine injector. Check game files, otherwise could break it also. Don't have any mods in the right side of BG3MM (also known as inactive, but like BG3MM mentions, those mods are not totally inactive).\
[DuchessDesigns](https://www.nexusmods.com/users/6850726): Be sure to update the dependencies for the QoL collection in your load order (if you don't see a red structure tree, click the gear icon in the top right and select dependencies) and scroll down until you see the mod name in red and click the '-' button to the right and deploy!

A few steps me and my friend do, when we can't connect to each other.:

- Make sure everything is the exact same. Same number of mods, same installation and same mod versions.
- What I do with my friend is the following.: CTRL + A to select all mods, check if the number given is the same.
- Go to load order, scroll to the end and check if the number is the same.
- Check for updates to make sure all mod versions are up to date.
- If none of the above works, it is probably a different installation of a mod. Hopefully you won't get to this point lol

<details><summary>Troubleshooting: Fixing Issues</summary>
1. Disable the "Deploy Mods when Enabled" in mods settings.
2. The collection has 500 mods in total, 502 if you are counting the [QoL & Extras](https://next.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/collections/anung9) Extension and [Lslib/Divine Tools](https://github.com/Norbyte/lslib). So make sure you have all mods, Vortex is known to be a big wonky sometimes, so there is a chance of not downloading all the mods and this can cause erros within the collection and compatibility issues. E.g. Last I downloaded my own collection, only got around 386 mods instead of the 500 mods lmao.
3. Always make sure your [load order](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4009) is the correct one, also, make sure you are exporting it to the game after importing it from the file.
4. Keep your mods up to date. See if there are mod updates before you play, mod authors keep updating their mods regularly (which is a good thing), I won't update the collection everytime there is a mod update, would clutter all the updates and confuse people (and yes, in the settings I have latest revision, but for some reason, Vortex doesn't download the latest revision). This is also an issue when trying to play coop, you both need to have the same mod versions. Another thing, keeping the mods updated can and will fix/prevent some crashes that might occur.
5. If you lack body textures (like limbs) or your body has a weird color (like purple), re-download [Unique Tav](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2754), if it still doesn't work, re-download [Trips' Old Shader Pack](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4752).
6. If you have blurry hair or something like that try turning your in game texture settings to ultra. In the Nvidia control panel, try forcing anisotropic filtering to "x16", Negative LOD Bias to "Allow", and Texture filtering quality to "Quality"(NOT HIGH QUALITY), or whatever equivalent program is used for AMD. If none of that works, try updating your graphics drivers to their newest versions.
7. If you are getting "grainy" textures/shadows, the issue is caused by the game anti-aliasing, disable it and use DLSS instead. DLAA doesn't complety solve the issue like DLSS does.
