# Description

*This mod pack is mostly just boat load of new races, as well as adding some classes and subclasses. Everything is mostly DnD rules as written. There is also a hand full of Ui improvements and items added, such as some rings and weapons and armor. The items are not game breaking, but there is a hand full that spawn in the tutorial chest, you can just sell or ignore those items if you want a normal game. There is also an improvement to the AI and overall difficulty to make up for all the added capability, so everything is more balanced.*\

  \*Varied increases in AI difficulty in tactician mode, so different enemies will be smarter or not biased on things like there station. Along with better AI they will have better items and abelites to use agist you. \*\

  A hand full of lore friendly magic items have been added into the world including organizational bags. integrated into the loot system so u can find things naturally, there will be a bunch of stuff in the tutorial chest that I can't really get rid of, but you can ignore it all or give yourself a small starter boost and still be balanced.\

  this pack is meant to be upgradable, meaning if you want to add some cosmetic upgrades you should be able to without interference because I don't have any, additionally if you want to add the increased party limit mods that should also still work. the idea is that you can just make sure your incompliance with this core pack as upgrades for the game/mods come out and then add any personal customization you want after hopefully reducing the amount of work. If your happy with the vanilla character faces and such then you need not bother.&#x20;

# Before you start

**Requirements**\
IMPORTANT UPDATE: regarding LSLIB in vortex.

The official word is that .NET 8+ is now required for LSLIB to function properly. This is straight from the developer. So everyone will need to install this to get the newest versions of LSLIB to work properly. you can just get the latest .NET 8 update. Found here: <https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download>

BUT if u already updated it and would like to revert it back, u can follow these steps.

First, right clicked on LSLIB in vortex on the mods page and choose "remove related." Then choose the option to remove mod and delete archive.

Next, download the last release that was working, 1.18.7 from here:

After unzipping, manually drag and drop the entire folder "ExportTool-v1.18.7" to where it says "drop file(s)" in vortex on the bottom of the page where it lists the mods.

It should automatically install it, the only difference is that instead of showing LSLIB it will show the name of the folder, but it works.

**Best practices**

- \*If you have used other mods in the past sometimes, they save settings files, locally. That can sometimes mess up new mods. Before you start over with a fresh mod pack, to make sure you have a clean slate go to \*\
  *C:\Users\\(your name)\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public*\
  *look for "modsettings.lsx" and delete that. when you start the game again it will generate a fresh one with your new mods settings.*
- If you want to play multiplayer just make sure everyone has the exact same versions of mods in the same load order. The easiest way to do this is to make sure everyone is in compliance with a mod pack, and export/import the same load order file. the pack should come with my exported load order file but if you add more mods, you'll want to make your own from the load order tab.&#x20;
