Ignore the modlist for the most part. The instructions below are more important. Most mods for BL2 are python sdk. Which are not found on Nexus Mods.&#x20;

# Main features

\*Borderlands with the overhaul Borderlands 2.5 + PythonSDK. This will provide a fun co-op experience. \*

\*Keep in mind that modding Borderlands 2 is a bit different than other games on this website (like skyrim for example). Mods are limited in impact. The best way to mod this game currently for a working experience is PythonSDK with TextModLoader. Many of the Nexus Mods are outdated,  broken by hotfixes or simply don't work. \*

\*TextModLoader will read alot of the text based mods on Nexus (.txt) and encorporate them into Python SDK. This is what we will be doing with Borderlands 2.5. \*

\*IMPORTANT NOTE: Swap Borderlands 2.5 with BL2Fix\* - I find that it is often more enjoyable. You could do either or. I personally prefer BL2Fix now.&#x20;

# Before you start

*Vital information regarding this collection.*

**Requirements:**

\- Game of the Year Edition&#x20;

\- .NET Framework (https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=30653)

\- Java (https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#java8)

\- Easy Borderlands Modding Tool (https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands2/mods/377?tab=description)

\*The easy borderlands modding tool comes with two files. You want the bl2tpsaodk.ps1 one (it's for bl2). Just place it in your binaries folder for now. \*

**READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR HOW TO SETUP PYTHON SDK MODS**

**\*\*\*Step 1: Intial Setup. \*\*\***

\*- Ensure all Nexus Mod files are located in the Binaries folder (should be automatic through Vortex). \*

*- Run the hex multitool and select the folder where your borderlands.exe file is located (usually Win32).*

\*- (optional) Edit the Backpack and give yourself more backpack space (would not recommend going beyond 100). \*

\*- Click Misc -> Disable Sanity Checks -> Tick Weapons and Items (make sure they both have check marks).\*

**\*\*\*Step 2: Meat of this Modpack. \*\*\***

*- Download PythonSDK (https://github.com/bl-sdk/bl2-mod-manager/releases/tag/v2.5b)*

- ```

    - When downloaded it will be the Binaries folder. Just drag it into your existing Binaries folder. *
  ```

\*- Now when you open (Binaries -> Win32) You should see a Mods folder. \*

\*- You can view all the mods you can download here (https://bl-sdk.github.io/mods/). \*

\*- When downloading a mod from this repository, you simply drag the resulting folder into the Mods folder in Win32. \*

\*- For this modpack I would recommend the following: \*

\*Each of these mods may require additional frameworks. They will tell you what frameworks are required when you view them individually. Make sure you install the required frameworks or else they will not appear in game.\*

\*Be wary of Exodus. It is single player only. So far all mods described will work with co-op. \*

\*Keep in mind you can add much more than this. If you are very determined. You can add more mods here (https://github.com/BLCM/ModCabinet/wiki/Borderlands-2). Alot of these mods are very minor as in a skin for a single weapon. Alot of effort for a low amount of return hence why I didn't intially include this Mod Cabinet. \*Most of them require BLCM. If interested, you can also install BLCM (would recommend to do this in your Borderlands 2 folder). From there, you can run it and when you get into the menu, you want to Open Patch.txt located in the Binaries folder. From there you can import mods that you saved to your Binaries folder (usually have .blcm). Save the file then when in game, press the button for your console (you set the key binding when installing bclm). Type exec Patch.txt and press enter. After doing so play the game with your blcm mods installed. \*

***\*\*\*Step 2.5: Optional.\*\*\****

\*- (optional) Download Reshade (https://reshade.me/) (make borderlands 2 look a little better) \*

*- (optional) Download a shader preset (https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands2/mods/368?tab=files)*

\*- You may need to delete some of the shaders (see shaders log) since some of them will cause errors but the game will still run without issue. Shader log is located in Win32 folder (called ReShade.log).\*

**\*\*\*Step 3: Hot-Fix the patch. \*\*\***

\*-  Right click bl2tpsaodk.ps1 (easy borderlands modding tool) and click run with powershell. Press 2 then give it the address of where your borderlands 2 folder is located. If you don't have windows powershell then install it or it's equivalent.\*

\*- Easy borderlands modding tool will compile your stuff and make it work. BLCMM is not required for this collection.&#x20;

**\*\*\*Step 4: Enable mods. \*\*\***

\*- run borderlands 2. \*

*- If you did Step 2.5, you will see your shaders load in. Probably will see an error as you will need to delete some of the shaders (see shader log).*

\*- If you did Step 2.5, when you load in you can access your shader presets by pressing the home button on your keyboard. Select the shader preset you downloaded. \*

\*- When in game go to your mods option and enable all mods that are disabled. You will see some mods that are locked. Do not be concerned about this. If you downloaded mods outside of those I recommended. Keep in mind that they may be offline mods and thus are not suited for online play. Read the description of mods downloaded.\*

\*- Play the game. Maybe download some existing saves (level 72) so you don't need to worry about leveling up. See Nexus Mods. You will need to locate where your game saves are saved, this will be different for each machine and thus will not be discussed here.\*

\*Hopefully you managed to download successfully and saved yourself a bunch of time. \*
