# Description

*This is the list that my playgroup uses for co-op. Being constantly tested, minimal issues (barring very minor mod conflicts that don't impede the game). Plenty of content, but not overloaded with mods - you will notice particular absences in this list.*

# Main features

*Curated specifically for co-op. If it doesn't work with it, it's not going in here. Functional\* with noted minor issues below.*

*I did the load order tweaks for you already - no need to mess things up with external software!*

*ArmorGreen - overriding Co-op Unlocked to function*\
*Quick Fix for Co-op Unlocked - made this as the previous fix (Objective Jump) overrides a few assets that YAML needs, resulting in some of the Leopard Upgrades not functioning. This fix overrides the broken asset with the vanilla one. NOW with reapplied YAML Starmap!*

# Before you start

*Vital information regarding this collection.*

**Requirements**

- ***DO NOT INSTALL ANY MW5 MOD MANAGERS other than Vortex itself.***
- *You'll need to enable the mods yourself from the main menu (under Mods).*
- *Career mode. You could use it in Campaign, but you'll need to disable a couple of the mods (I am only supporting Career)*
- *Once you've got it all installed, go into Mod Options (in Options), make sure Scary Tanks has HP scaling set to 1.0 for all 4 options, and YAML has limit FPS enabled (your GPU will thank you, choose the frame cap you prefer) then scroll down to Miscellaneous > Misc: Enable Mech Rescale \[ON] (a requirement for YALM & YAISM).*
- *Make sure to do the Reset to Defaults settings for Better Mission Choices below.*

**Best practices**

- *If you are playing with a dedicated co-op group, discuss what your mod updating procedure is. If you are updating as soon as a mod updates, make sure everyone is doing the same. Or decide that you only update at certain times when someone says. Doesn't matter how, just make a plan - mismatched mod versions WILL ruin your day.*
- *Make sure you read those instructions up there, I'm trying to save you a headache.*

**Known Issues**

- *Better Missions Choices - it seems this mod on first run will sometime initialise settings poorly and setting them absurdly high. Before starting, go into the Mod Options for this mod, change any setting and save it. Then "Reset to Defaults" and save again. This should initialise it correctly. This can be done during play too, just the changes will not immediately be reflected until you have travelled enough to force map generation stuff to happen*
- *The Mech Rescale will have an unfortunate side effect of making mechs "float" up/down while changing colours painting mechs or changing stuff in the mechlab. Leaving the screen and coming back to it will reset to normal, temporary visual glitch.*
- *If you have issues with people disconnecting using this - make sure everyone enabled all the mods in the mod menu. If you mismatch the lists, it'll cause disconnects on most of them. If clients crash on mission start, make sure they haven't enabled Better Lance Status. ONLY the host can run this without issues.*
- *If you have players that join and can't see the mechs in the mechbay, money shows 000,000,000 , etc. you have what's usually referred to as The Coop Bug. Typically happens when you have too many items in your inventory. Recommended to thin down your inventory regularly (upgrade weapons, sell gear) - v1 salvage can really cause issues here, so either sell what you don't need of it, or use v2 salvage (which isn't inventory based). Uses clears by having the host open the game in Single Player, go into a mission, complete or abort it, and get through the Post Mission screens, and saving after clearing through all that.*
- *You will not be able to see the Pilot Affinities to Mechs in the Pilot Select screen. This is unavoidable with how Undertonnage Bonus2 works. You can replace this mod with Bobbert's Purchase Salvage mod instead, if you do not care about the undertonnage bonus.*
- *There's a weird bug that can occur - if a coop client spawns into a mission and their mech immediately powers down, there's a trick to avoid mech damage. Power the mech up (default P) then while the mech is powering up, hold forward to make sure they're moving as soon as they've started up. Then turn off Override (O). The movement forces a data sync for the heat and ensures no damage (this may no longer occur with failsafes being added in mods). (This bug will never happen on any mission with the leopard combat drop start scene) - this is likely fixed, leaving instructions in just in case.*

# Load Ordering

Already done. Ships with the change required.
If you must tinker with this, make sure you know what you're doing. "Conflicts" are supposed to be as they are.
Currently the only recommended managing software for this is ["MW5 Mod Organizer"](https://https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/922) (alternatively MW5 Load Order Configurator should be fine as well as it's got the key basic features that I consider bare-minimum for managing mods)

[*Lore-Based Mech Variants*](https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/493) & [*Clan Invasion*](https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/622) - Both add a lot of mechs and stuff, but aren't compatible with each other. Don't use them together

[*Classic Mech Collection*](https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/789) - we aren't fans of the Classic designs, so not running this. Grab the Lore version if you do use it, since YACM is already in the collection.

[*Mech Delivery*](https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/699) - never felt the need for it. Unsure how well it runs in co-op (other users report it's running well)

Yet Another Coop Collection

Co-op collection used within my playgroup. Not just the bare bones, nor is it modded to the high heavens. A robust collection, functional* in co-op and compatible with Potato PC.

Updated:
ArmorGreen - newer version with DLC symbols. Load order override redone for this update.
Stacked Crates - v6.6.1 functional in coop. Version hold is removed finally, now matching current live.
TTRulezAI updated to v9.4 (beta). I don't normally do beta versions in live lists, but the issues with AI since DLC6 forced my hand on this one.
