# Description

*Provides a baseline set of mods to both set up and add useful, vanilla+ functionality to TTW with as few conflicts as possible.*

Features:&#x20;

- Tale of Two Wastelands and necessary mods/configs
- Lucky 38 Map Marker mod
- A Weapon Wheel mod
- Unlimited Followers Everywhere, allowing followers into DLCs. Not tested with cross-game compatibility, but likely works.

# Notes and Procedure

*Base Installation:*

- Install FO3 and FNV.
- Start both games once to generate configs.
- Install TTW (modlist tested w/ 3.3).
- Use Vortex, install modlist to New Vegas.
- Enable all mods.
- Go to Plugins, enable everything.
- Make sure Mod Manager is at the bottom.
- Start New Vegas via Vortex, should boot without error to TTW main menu.
- When starting new game, will prompt which game to use. Recommended to start with FO3.

Keymaps and Tweaks:

- Enter the game, get past initial into bits til you have a pip boy.
- In Settings -> Key Mappings, change Third Person Toggle from F to something else unmapped.
- In Mod Manager Menu, set Weapon Wheel key to F.
- Check out Tweaks menu. Some I used are...
- &#x20;\- Agility Affects Move Speed, set to 0.700.
- &#x20;\- Disabled Casino bans and set max bet to infinite (pretty broken tbh).
- &#x20;\- Set killcam chance to 0% to get rid of them.
- &#x20;\- Set blood splatter screen threshold to max to get rid of them.
- &#x20;\- There are tons of these things, just peruse a bit.

The Weapon Wheel:

- Hold F to open it, mouse to slice ot use thing.
- To map, mouse over in pip boy and hold F.
- This lets you have both numkeys and weapon wheel as separate mappings, lots of good variety.
- Consumables and armor also work with the wheel.

&#x20;Note that FO3's difficulty is a tad different, slightly higher at the start due to FNV's DT system being in place.

If you are on non-hardcore, you will get perks every level FO3 style, hardcore will give you one every other level FNV style. This is configurable somewhere.

To switch worlds:

FO3 to FNV:&#x20;

- In DC, near the Washington Monument/Archives, there's a new metro that leads to a new map area, containing a train station.
- The train station's doors are differently textured than most- when you find a fast travel point in the new area, it puts you near an entrance.
- There's a forum post you can find (google ttw get to fnv) that details it.
- The metro has a little quest to turn on the train involving running around to start a generator and hit some switches. The map markers can bug out, making it difficult to find the way forward, so I do recommend ~tcl as an option to just get it wrapped up quickly.
- Once in the metro station, see Using the train

FNV to FO3: At the Freeside entrance (the blue doors), turn north and go past most buildings, turn left at the end of the road to find a metro.

Using the train

- In both cases, you require a ticket, acquired at the terminal. These require a few hundred caps, but can also be made free through a science check.
- Take that ticket, board the train beneath you at the platform. To kick off the train, interact with the electrical panel in the engine car, near one of doors to the other cars.

TTW Baseline
