# Welcome to Faithful!

FNV: Faithful is a vanilla plus mod collection that aims to enhance the vanilla game without making any major changes to it. With this collection I aimed to fix the jankiness of New Vegas while staying true to the game's identity. So if it's your first time playing New Vegas, consider getting this collection!

This collection takes a "quality over quantity" approach with each mod being purposeful to the goal of improving the base game while still remaining \*faithful \*to the vanilla feel. The collection only uses a handful of mods to improve the following aspects of the game:

## > GAMEPLAY

**Vigor** - A spin-off of JSawyer Ultimate Edition, originally designed by Joshua Sawyer, the lead designer of New Vegas. JSawyer aimed to tweak game difficulty and progression. Vigor refines these patches for an enhanced experience.

**Just Assorted Mods** - JAM is a mod collection adding gameplay and quality-of-life features like sprinting and loot menus. I've disabled Bullet Time and Breath Holding for a more vanilla experience, but you can enable them in the Mod Configuration Menu.

## > GAME FEEL

**Brave New World** - This mod revoices minor NPCs in New Vegas to add variety, reducing repetitive voice actors. Major characters like Caesar and Mr. House remain unchanged for authenticity.

**Enhanced camera** - Improves the first person view of New Vegas, subtle things that makes your character feel more connected to the world.

**Hitman's Animation Mods Pack & Combined Melee Animation Pack** - These mods combined reanimates almost the entirety of New Vegas' arsenal! Buttery smooth animations!

**Awesome Bullet Sounds** & **Bullet Tracers** - Gunfights are more cinematic!

**Kill Feedback** - A visual effect that gives you a little more dopamine after every kill.

## > VISUALS

**Altitude** - A vanilla weather mod that adds nice new weathers and prettier skies.

**Blurry Distance & Dusty Distance** - Two mods that significantly increase the ambience of the Mojave wasteland! It's so pretty, especially with ReShades and retextures.

**Dynavision** - A visual overhaul mod that provides a dynamic depth-of-field and auto-focus effect similar to a camera and a host of other enhancements and effects such as film grain, lighting tweaks, etc. All customizable via the Mod Configuration Menu!

**NMC's Retextures (optional)** - Updated, higher quality, and vanilla friendly textures! Makes one hell of a difference if you decide to install it!

I highly recommend you install ReShade (quick & easy 1 min tutorial [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZaAsQxoedU)) to update the game's lighting. Trust me, your game will look truly splendid!

## > STABILITY

And finally, this collection includes all the base stability and miscellaneous stuff you can expect from mod lists! LStewies, Unofficial patch, Tick fix, etc.
