# Description

*I've created this mod collection for myself, considering that so many collection are 2-3 years old, broken and outdated. Sharing it out, in case someone else decides to play Oblivion. This mod collection assumes you know how to work with Vortex, change ini files in mods, etc. It is also WIP. Covers essentials, upgrades graphics, adds couple of biggest quests and QoL features, upgrades combat and makes loot distribution more interesting. Overall, overhauled many game elements to be more interesting to play. See below for more details.*\

I recommend to use Legion's Graphics Preset  (ENB that works with OR) with this Mod Collection.\

# Before you start

&#x20;If you are unsure how to install OBSE, refer to the Mod description on Nexus.

If your Oblivion is not on the same drive as Steam, you must locate and copy your authentic steam.exe file to the Oblivion main folder, which contains the oblivion.exe file. After that, add OBSE as a new tool in Vortex Dashboard, go to the Vortex 'Dashboard' and select Oblivion Script Extender as Primary under 'Tools' (the option appears after clicking the three dots). This will allow the game to be ran through obse loader. If you are getting an error in the game that OBSE loader isn't found, you didn't copy all the required files to your Oblivion folder.

*After all the mods are installed, start the Oblivion Launcher first, click Play then go to Options - Video - set the Texture size to LARGE!*

**Before playing the game:**

For the OBSE -Elys- Universal Silent Voice mod:
Copy Elys\_USV.dll, Elys\_USV.mp3 and Elys\_USV.lip to your "\<Oblivion installation folder>\DATA\OBSE\Plugins\\"
( by default "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\\" )

After installing all the mods, disable 'Menuqueu 16a' mod.

Tweak the following settings to these values in oblivion.ini (under your documents, My games - Oblivion):

bUseWaterReflectionsMisc=0
bUseWaterReflectionsStatics=0

Simpler Key Ring mod - by default the use key is set to 'E', it sorts your keys and places them on the ring. Change the config for default button to your liking in the mod's keyring.ini file, or read the book in your inventory and configure in game.

***Notes:***\
Weapons and Armor Decay slowed down through mod. Isn't completely disabled to allow leveling system to work correctly.
Carry weight is increased 20 times per STR level. If you don't want this, disable 'Carry More Stuff' mod.
New companion Vilja - can be found in Cyrodiil.

Run the game as usually through Vortex, then go to Data files on the launcher and make sure that all plugins are enabled except *OCOv2 - Filterpatch for Mods*. Trying to enable this, will crash the launcher, so leave this one disabled. After that, click Play and enjoy! On the main screen go to Options - Mods - and configure the selected mods to your liking - especially 'Better Cities' and 'Ultimate Leveling'. If you like to level naturally, through using skills and weapons - use Skill Based Leveling and change skill distribution options. I personally prefer the other option, that gives experience for playing the game and allows the manual point distribution.

# Recommended specs

Isn't very spec heavy, bur it's better to have modern PC with at least 2GB+ Video card.

Oblivion - Extended and Expanded

Mod collection covers necessary essentials, as well as adds some graphics mods, couple of biggest quests, number of QoL features and alternative leveling system that allows to receive exp for playing the game. Requires OBSE.
