# Before you start

- Only download the collection if you're willing to suffer through the early phases and help with the testing. It is currently ***U***nstable. - ***Crashing occurs often***\* (*during game launch as well*) but do try to launch the game again and do not be impatient (it might crash multiple times before a successful load), the game is still in Early Access. The collection is confirmed working on 3 different Desktop PCs, Co-op included. (Multiplayer server not tested)\* - Although Co-op *does work*, due to the *frequent* crashes, it is currently advised you only use this collection for *single player*. \ - First, make sure you are on Steam, if you are not, it will be difficult for me to provide any support. It is vital that your Palworld version is the correct one, Steam version of Palworld v0.2.4.0 is what Revision 1 uses. - `Revision 4 is confirmed working on Xbox Game Pass.` **Steam -> Library -> *****right click***** Palworld -> Properties -> Updates -> Only update this game when I launch it** After you've done this, please *only launch your game through* **Vortex** or ideally through **Palworld.exe** (Steam -> Library -> *right click* Palworld -> Manage -> Browse Local Files for easy access.). **NOTE**: You can also play co-op even in offline mode as you would use the in-game Invide Code to connect to each other.

## **Best practices** - Clean game install (absolutely no other previous mods or UE4SS versions installed) before installing any mod collections. - *Always start a new save when installing massive collections.* - *When updating the collection you should always do so on a new profile.* ## **Requirements**

***Vortex Settings*** -> *Mods* -> \*Automatically use suggested path for staging folder \*(make sure it's checked) and then you can proceed with adding the collection via Vortex. - \*Install the \****Vortex Palworld Extesion*** - Install UE4SS ***through Vortex***, *if the one provided fails*, please download it and install it ***through Vortex*** manually (The collection uses UE4SS v3.0.1) and make sure ***UE4SS*** and ***Unreal Pak Tool*** are present in the mod list after you've finished installing everything. (Though these should've come with the ***Palworld Vortex Extension***)

**F8 – Photomode**\*\*\* (Screenshots are saved in \*\*\*\ **F9 – HUD toggle**\ **Alt+C – First Person (optional mod)**\ **Shift+O – Pal Information display**\ **K – Pal Box open anywhere**\ **Faster hold F for crafting, etc.**\ \ **Pal Analyzer – How to Use**\ **Hold LEFT ALT to display pal information**\ **If you haven't captured the species of pal you are trying to analyze most of it's stats will show up as '???'. You will not be able to see all stats until you have captured at least 10 of that species of pal unless configured otherwise.**\ \ **Assigning Pals - How to Use**\ **Press the Show Tasks button at the top left of the screen, select the workstation you want to assign a Pal to, then select the desired Pal. You can press F2 (can be changed in the options, see below) to manually bring up the cursor and open the menu, pressing F2 again will close the menu and hide the cursor, or just open the in-game menu with tab which will also show the cursor.**\ \ **Catch and Release – How to Use**\ **It adds an additional window to the Pal Box that allows you to 'release' Pals back into the wild. They will reward you with items from their loot table as a thank you! To release a Pal, simply open your Pal Box and drag them onto the 'Drop Pals To Release' window.**\ \ **Party presets – How to Use**\ **You can set your current party as a preset by pressing the “+” button.**\ **NOTE: Clear your party then load the deck if you experience high ping.**

**TOWER BOSSES should be capturable.**\ \ **Talking to NPCS should give you skill fruits.**\ \ **Safer swimming to prevent death when you don't have stamina to reach the shore. - Idle in water to recover stamina.**\ \ **Some pals have been swapped for better looking character models or their textures have been replaced by cooler versions.**\\ **Always fast travel** - Unlock your waypoints by going to them, *then you can always fast travel from any location* without having to rely on physically moving to your Pal box.\ *The collection also features a couple of optional additions which are disabled by default and some Pals have been changed.* Also features extra character customization (hair and eyes)\*\*, \*\*unlocked map, customizable minimap, fast travel from anywhere, better vendors, better night lighting, incremental increase for available bases and working pals, hungry pal rescuer, less restrictive building, max level increased to 79, disabled level sync and many others.

*** # KNOWN ISSUES Crashing on death, crashing on launch, crashing when returning to main menu, crashing when saving settings in "Mod Config" (especially for minimap mod).
