Deadfire is one of my favorite games of all time. There were no up-to-date collections, so I decided to create my own. I hope you enjoy it!\

# Important Notes

- This has ***NOT*** been tested with the GOG or Epic versions! (I don't own them)
- Real-Time w/ Pause mode is recommended, Turn-based mode has ***NOT*** been tested past the tutorial!
- A new game is recommended! Using this mod on an existing save may cause bugs!

# Fixes

- ***TONS*** of bug fixes for quests, abilities, and items
- Typo corrections (English only)

# Quality of Life

- Berath's Blessings effect the entire party (requires a new game)
- User Interface Overhaul
- Improved Legacy creation
- Starting attributes cap increased from 18 to 20 (before racial bonuses)
- Starting attribute points increased from 17 to 27
- All backgrounds now give +2 to 3 separate skills
- Level cap increased to 33
- No Multi-class level cap (sometimes lock still shows)
- Companions' level now match yours
- All party members can equip pets (may require removing then re-adding them to party)
- Starts Seeker, Slayer, Survivor can be started earlier
- Delays the beginning of Beast of Winter until level 15
- All voiced party reactions now play
- Crew members job ranks improved
- Potions and bombs recovery time reduced
- Poisons are now MUCH more effective
- Increasing Aloth's approval is now less tedious
- Multiple party members can be romanced in a single playthrough
- New loading screens added (16:9 only, sadly)

# Items

- ***MOST*** armor, weapons, shields, and clothes can be upgraded
- Upgraded weapons improve by 20% per tier
- Glove enchantments have been buffed (1 additional copy of each sold by cobbler)
- Several POE 1 items have been added
- Underwhelming magic weapons buffed
- Berath's cloak now provides a small bonus
- Two-handed weapon enchantment costs fixed

# Abilities

- Weapon modal abilities have been improved
- Passive abilities have been improved
- Backstab can now be done at range
- All pistols will now do the better of Pierce or Crush damage
- Spears now give reach instead of accuracy
- Shield Bash and Tuotilo's Palm now benefit from accuracy, damage, and penetration
- Passives and active abilities have new icons

# Before you start

**Recommendations**

- Use a clean install of the game to avoid issues
- Delete lingering mods in `/Pillars of Eternity II/PillarsOfEternityII_Data/override`&#x20;
- Start a new game!

**Known Issues and Fixes**

- Berath's Blessing "Bonus Attributes" will **NOT** stack w/ mods! Do **NOT** choose it!
- Bonus items sometimes require a reload to show up. When you wake up, save then reload!

# Steam Deck/Linux Users&#x20;

- You **MUST** use Proton, **NOT** native, or no mods will be detected!
- The native version saves to the wrong directory, so be sure to move your save files!

# Installation

- Click `Add to Vortex`
- Choose a profile for the list in Vortex and click `Install`
- Elevate/deploy after everything is installed
- ***IF YOU OWN THE DLC:*** enable optional mods: `CommunityPatch - Basic` and `CommunityPatch -` `Keywords`
- ***IF YOU DO NOT:*** enable optional mods:` CommunityPatch - Basic - NO LAX` and `CommunityPatch - Keywords - NO LAX`
- Start the game, go to options, then mod manager
- Ensure all mods are turned on (blue square in checkbox)
- Enjoy!

# Troubleshooting&#x20;

If you have any issues, please try the following or reach out in the comments!

## Ensure mods are enabled in game:

1. From the main menu select `Options`
2. Select `Mod Manager`     &#x20;
3. Make sure that all mods are enabled (blue boxes)

## Redeploy your mods:&#x20;

1. Go to the `Mods` section of Vortex Mod Manager ( on the left panel )
2. Click `Purge Mods` button ( on the top panel above your load order) and wait until it finishes
3. Click `Elevate` or `Deploy Mods` button ( on the top panel above your load order) and wait until it finishes&#x20;

## Steam Deck/Linux Users:

1. Make sure you are using Proton compatibility, **NOT** native, or no mods will be detected!&#x20;
