You start with two characters who are escaped slaves and shipwrecked on the northern coast of Darkfinger. One is in a short recovery coma, the other is injured. They have a small chance to have grabbed a rusty iron staff during the wreck. One of the survivors also managed to grab a puppy from the guard dogs on the ship.
