# Description

*This collection is here to help you set up your first Starfield play-through.  The mods included in this collection are ones I've found I will ALWAYS include in any Starfield game.  These mods include QoL fixes such as reduced menu times, waiting times, UI fixes and tweaks and mods that address Bethesda bugs such as the NG+ soft lock fix.  This collection does not include mods that add character presets, "hacks" such as the digipick minigame fix, Outpost and Shipbuilder fixes (other than vanilla UI fixes), mods that add content to the game (ship parts, outpost parts, character outfits, etc.)or language packs.  There are three mods that break this rule.  The first is the NG+ Carry Over Your Equipment mod.  I spent so much time optimizing my character with armor and weapons in my first play-through, that I was VERY upset i didn't get to keep them in NG+, so that mod is included in this Collection.  The second is the Legendary Recycler mod.  This prevents you from save-scumming to get the legendary equipment you want. And the third is the Portable Vendor mod.  This mod saves SOOO much time. *

# Before You Start

*To get started, you will need to first install the SFSE (Starfield Script Extender) mod.  Then, make sure you have the plugins.txt, StarfieldCustom.ini and  StarfieldConsole.ini files created and in their proper place in your game folders.  These are, most likely but not always (depends on where you decided to install your steam files), located in your C:\Users\\\<YourUserrName>\Documents\My Games\Starfield (for the two INI files) and your C:\Users\\\<YourUserrName>\AppData\Local\Starfield (for the plugins.txt file).*

*\*\*\* Please read the mod descriptions for details on installing the specific mods.  If you don't know how to install and use mods, there are plenty of YouTube videos describing the process.\*\*\**

*\*\*\*Please note that some of these mods MAY disable Steam Achievements, so I've included the Baka Achievements Enabler mod in the list, as well. The Better Waiting mod, for example, uses console commands to speed up the waiting process.\*\*\**

# Specific Mods to Note

### *StarUI Configurator: *

this mod is not necessary for the StarUI mods to work.  However, it's a very NICE TO HAVE mod that lets you adjust how StarUI works.  You will need to run outside of the game, so put a link to it on your desktop.

### *dmLegendaryRecycler: *

*no more save-scumming.  Drop your Legendary gear in here and it will strip the legendary parts off for later use at a workbench.*

### *Carry Over Your Equipment: *

*only carries over 8 pieces of equipment to NG+.  Dump everything EXCEPT the equipment you want (weapons and armor) before traveling to the Unity.*

### *Better Waiting and Better Waiting ConsoleINI: *

*the mod author isn't very clear on how these work.  The Better Waiting mod should be stand alone, but I could never get it to work without the BetterWaitingConsoleINI mod with it.  In order for it to work, your Console.INI file should look like this:*

*Then sit in a chair, wait for the "B" wait dialogue, and then hit F1 to wait 48 hours.*

### *Portable Vendor: *

*another mod I included that saves you time.  If you have the Better Waiting mod, add this line at the bottom of those commands in your the StarfieldConsole.INI file:*

*     F3=1200081F.activate player*

*Otherwise, your StarfieldConsole.INI file should look like this:*
