# Changes

## **Combat:**

- **Experimental Combat and Stealth AI Tweaks** - Game Setting tweaks that should make AI less dumb and more deadly. Changes 81 hidden settings to attempt to accomplish this.
- **Less Spongy Enemies** - Gets rid of Starfield spongy enemies in the best possible way.
- **Better Mines** - Do you hate, when your Mines instantly explode when throwing at an enemy? Then this mod is for you!
- **Tactical Crosshair** - keep Health bars, add dot - All weapon crosshairs have been replaced by a small dot, for a more clean and streamlined look.
- **Power Attack Cost Reduction** - Melee combat can be a lot of fun. But sometimes you wonder, why is my character after two swings already out of breath? Then this mod is for you!
- Firearm Tweaks - Increase the Reload Speed of weapons by 25%, increase Aim Stability - the Vanilla parkinson is not fun.
- **TRUE AIM** - True Aim is a comprehensive fix for mouse input.&#x20;
- **Enemy Friendly Fire** (SFSE) - enables friendly fire for all NPCs.

## **Gameplay:**

- **Craftable Ammo and Utilities** - This mod makes Digipicks, Medpacks and (for now) a few selected Ammo types (11mm, 7.77mm, 6.5mm) craftable
- **More Ownable Ships** - Increases the maximum number of ships you can own.&#x20;
- **Increased Scan Range** - Increases the base scanner distance.&#x20;
- **Instant Scan** - Reduce the number of scans required for the flora and fauna survey to 1 - no more you need to scan the same thing over 10 times.
- **Lower Ship Registration Fee** - Some bureaucrat demanding almost full price just for ship papers. Preposterous!&#x20;
- **No XP Kill Steal Fix** - This mod fixes an issue, where companions and other NPCs can steal your kill and you get no XP for it.
- **Increased Contraband Prices x5** - Increases the prices of contraband to make it worth your while.
- **Ship Skip Instant Station Docking** - \[OPTIONAL] - Removes painfully slow docking cutscenes and takeoff animations.&#x20;
- **Responsive Grabbing** - This mod cuts that frustrating one-second delay when grabbing objects and bodies to just 300 milliseconds, making your game more responsive and enjoyable.
- **Easy Speech** - \[OPTIONAL] - Increases the chance to succeed with speech checks to 100%.&#x20;
- **Easy Digipick** - \[OPTIONAL] - Allows you to ignore the Digipick minigame.&#x20;
- **Jetpack Overhaul** - Jetpacks now work with pressing and holding buttons, instead of being single press.
- **Rewarding Activities** - This mod increases the experience received from exploring new locations, picking locks, overcoming speech challenges, researching or upgrading weapons and equipment.
- **Throw unconscious NPCs** - Lets you pick up NPCs that have been knocked out with EM damage.
- **Link Lodge Workbenches** (craft direct from unlimited storage) - Link Lodge basement workbenches to either the basement or bedroom unlimited storage container to use those crafting materials.
- **Perk Up Richer Vendors** - Vendors get more credits and sell more resources.
- **Better out of LOS Sneaking** - This mod decreases enemy hearing accuracy when you're hidden behind obstacles, improving your stealth by reducing their ability to detect you out of sight.
- **Baka NPCs Always Drop Their Equipped Armor** - \[OPTIONAL] Always loot armor from NPCs wearing it.
- **Configurable Ammo Rarity** - \[OPTIONAL, ESP] Increase or decrease the amount of ammo you can get from corpses, containers, and merchants.
- **NPCs use Ammo** - \[OPTIONAL] Forces all NPCs to use the ammo in their inventory, as opposed to the vanilla setting that gives them infinite ammo.
- **Better Sprint Costs 25%** - In a world where we have space ships but still no cars to drive, there's one crucial thing we require: reduced oxygen sprint costs.&#x20;

## **Interface:**

- **StarUI Inventory** - StarUI Inventory improves all inventory screens for the usage on PC. Compacter display style. More details in sort-able columns. Item category icons. Category as left sidebar. Many Quality-of-Life features!
- **Better Hud** - Less distracting, more immersive, and simply a better HUD. Sneak peek of fully customizable version available in optional files and features added over time.
- **StarUI HUD** - StarUI HUD gives you full control over most HUD widgets and provides an updated loot list and better item cards with DPS and V/W. Resize, move, recolour or disable most of the HUD widgets.
- **High-Vis Scope Crosshair** - 60 fps - inc \[OPTIONAL]  Widescreen support&#x20;
- **Spicy Clean Ship HUD** - Removes most of the pointless circles and clutters from the ship reticle so you can actually see.
- ***IconSortingTags*** - Add a small icon in front of lootable items in the world and inventory.
- ***BetterHud*** - Smaller XP and Location indicator.
- **60 FPS - Smooth UI** - Increases the UI files to 60 FPS, for a smoother and less jittery user interface and menus.&#x20;
- **Remove Vignette** - From Scanner Removes the vignette background from your scanner&#x20;
- **Enhanced Dialogue Interface** - Enhance your dialogue experience with a wider, refined and centered text area, improved text clarity featuring a subtle shadow for better readability
- **Undelayed Menus** - significantly improve the user experience by enhancing the responsiveness and efficiency of in-game menus.
- **Colored Research Icons** - Replaces the Reasearch Laboratory selected icons with colored versions using Constellation color palette.&#x20;
- **Less Distracting Scanner Effects** - Attempts to make the scanner effects and quest arrows less distracting by removing some effects and making the arrow black instead of white.&#x20;
- **No Stealth Meter and Text** - \[OPTIONAL] - Entirely removes the stealth meter from the HUD.
- **Compact Mission UI** - Modifies the mission menu so more items can be seen at once. Increases viewable items by 50%.&#x20;
- **Faster Favorites Menu** - Speeds up the favorites menu animation and removes the flickering. Includes a few different options for background alpha.&#x20;
- **Compact Ship Builder UI** - Modifies the ship builder menu so more items can be seen at once. Increases viewable items by 33%.
- **Compact Crew Menu UI** - Modifies the crew menu so more items can be seen at once.
- **Compact Build Menu UI** - Modifies the outpost build menu so more items can be seen at once. Increases viewable items by 45%.
- **Compact Crafting UI -** More compact Crafting UI.
- **No Digipick Menu Background** - Removes the Digipick Menu background.
- **Easier Read -** This mod replaces the in-game displays to be in line with Easy Read Dark UI.&#x20;

- **SGS's LUTs** - **\[OPTIONAL]** Enhanced Color Grading and Black Levels
- **Realistic Water** - \[OPTIONAL] Add more realistic water
- **Realistic Stars** - \[OPTIONAL] Add more realistic stars. Twinkle!

- **Baka Quit Game Fix (SFSE)** - adds a small delay when using the QuitGame function so that the "Bye." text is visible. Also ports the Fast/SafeExit fix from Skyrim and Fallout 4.
- **Baka Disable My Games Folder (SFSE)** - Disables the Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data folder and moves the MOTD and Photo Mode file and folder
- **Med and Pharma Kit Recolored** - \[OPTIONAL] Changes the med kits to be red and pharma kits have a greener hue

- **Plugins.txt Enable**r - Restores Plugins.txt functionality as in previous BGS games.

## Before you start

2. Download collection with Vortex. Install the collection - read the instructions.

# FAQ:&#x20;

### Why are my mods not working at all ?

- Thats mostly due to a issue with the starfieldcustom.ini. There seem to be a copy\&paste bug. To solve it, you need to delete your old starfieldcustom.ini. Download this [StarfieldCustom.ini](https://www.mediafire.com/file/ybzmx1am8wx8ucp/StarfieldCustom.ini/file). Also make sure you ran "bat Install" in the console.

### FAQ: How do I know the collection is working ?

- If you start the game there should not be a "Message of the day" at the top right corner. Also the Intros including epilepsy warning should be skipped.

### FAQ: Are my savegames 100% safe ?

- Probably ? But for real - i cant guarantee that. But most of the mods so far released are easy to deinstall mods only. They are either console commands which get run by the custom.ini (Batch files in the root folder) OR mods that change stuff on the surface level. Nothing major so far. So we should be fine. Just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of the risks of modding.

### FAQ: Can I remove it mid game?

- Yes - check "Uninstallation Guide".

### FAQ: SpeechCheat and LockpickCheat are enabled - how do I disable it?

Tried to add "bullet hole impact 3.0 smaller version", but then the collection will become flagged as adult. Just in case someone will add it, load it after EXE. Its not perfect, but its a start.
