- Install [SpecialK ](https://special-k.info/)& Follow [Native HDR install instructions](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/588?tab=description).
- To AutoStart SpecialK with Steam(Image #1) place this in launch commands for Starfield "SKIF %command%" (place this infront of all other startup cmds like the one below for SFSE)

# Required **To-Do**

## Steam

1. Starfield/Properties/General/Launch Options
2. Copy & paste   ***SFSE.bat %command% && sfse\_loader.exe***   into Launch Options.
3. Done, Steam will Auto Launch SFSE when starting starfield in Steam.

## Starfieldcustom.ini file

1. Open windows file explorer, go to C:\Users\\\*ChangeToYourUser\*\Documents\My Games\Starfield
2. Open(or create) "Starfieldcustom.ini"
3. Copy & paste the text codeblock below to the "Starfieldcustom.ini" then save.
4. Download DLSS (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/) Place in folder with Starfield.exe
5. Start game, go to Setting/Display/UpScaling turn on FSR2 (Replaced with DLSS in step 4.)
6. Adjust the RRS "Render Resolution Scale" (Lower = Less rendering by GPU = More DLSS UpScaling = More FPS)

### &#x20; Default RRS percentages

- Low = 50% &#x20;
- Medium = 50%&#x20;
- High = 62%&#x20;
- Ultra = 75%&#x20;
- No UpScale = 100%  (100% = Anti-Aliasing)

I highly recommend using [Notepad++](https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) instead of regular notepad.
