Don't forget to configure your mods how you like via the Options > Mods menu **BEFORE STARTING A NEW GAME** (super important for Deathrun/Roguelike) and via the Esc > Options > Mods menu and/or by pressing F5 while in-game.

Also, don't forget this collection includes the [hull reinforcement fix](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1348), which makes the hull reinforcement module reduce damage from fauna attacks.

# Mod Issues Of Which You Should Be Aware

\- **THE SEAL SUB IS HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL AT THE MOMENT.** Though it's really fun to use, there are still some devastating bugs associated with it, like problems with docking vehicles and bases disappearing after loading the game. If you choose to spawn in the SEAL sub, make sure you have your automated/pre-SEAL backup ready to recover your progress if things go wrong, and report any issues you have to the SEALE Team Discord server.

\- **Disable the Persistent Reaper mod** until you've got your SEAL sub and/or PRAWN Plasma Cannon and/or Cyclops Ion Cannon set up since that mod is "broken" at the moment and the Reaper spawns, when combined with Roguelike's crazy starting locations, are [entirely too unfair](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/789?tab=bugs).

\- There's a pretty devastating [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/395?tab=bugs) in the More Lockers mod. **Just don't use the Sealed Supply Crates at all**. You've been warned.

\- There's a [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1306?tab=bugs) with the Death Container mod where it doesn't play nice with the Lose Everything mod when you've set it to also lose equipment. I had to uncheck "lose equipment" to prevent the Death Container from essentially being un-openable when you are carrying very large items (like two ultra air tanks).

\- There may be a [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/427?tab=bugs) in the Snap Builder mod that results in wonky things happening when you equip a first aid kit to a quick slot and use it. If you have that mod active in your play through, it'd probably be best to avoid adding a first aid kit to a quick slot.

\- There's a few tiny itty bitty little [discrepancies](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/393?tab=posts) with a couple of the More Bioreactor Fuels mod's recipes... try not to abuse it too much :)

\- There's a [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1415?tab=bugs) with the Torpedo Improvements Continued mod where, upon loading in the game with a docked Seamoth, the upgrade panel will be closed. You can fix it very easily by entering the Seamoth, undocking, and then redocking. This only has to be done once. Alternatively, if you don't see yourself ever using torpedoes, simply disable/remove this mod.

\- There seems to be a slight [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1420?tab=bugs) and/or incompatibility with the Mega O2 mod that it allows you to craft the Mega O2 tank without first unlocking the Ion Battery recipe. It's not really game breaking or anything, but it is a little unfortunate.

\- Sometimes, after leaving your base after also interacting with a picked-up storage container like a waterproof locker, the batteries in your quick-slotted items will need to be taken out and put back in. You can do this very quickly (in 1-2 seconds total across all devices) using the quick battery switch hotkeys configurable via mod options.

\- It appears that the cat pet from the Subnautica Pets 2 mod is non-functional due to a [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1373?tab=bugs).

\- The Brine Blade unlocks a bit too early. This is also true of a couple other mods, including the SEAL sub. If you care about immersion, wait to use these early unlocks until you've unlocked their corresponding vanilla recipes :)

\- There is an irrelevant [bug](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1334?tab=bugs) with the Mirror mod that causes a strange black box to appear in the character's reflection after a certain base component is built (I'm not sure which one). It doesn't affect gameplay; it's just unfortunate.

\- Be careful using the ACU to repopulate the ocean. It can result in *permanently* degraded FPS. Best to leave that at 0.

\- The Cyclops Laser (Ion) Cannon module, Deployable Beacon module, Auto Defense System module, and any other custom modules must be added to the main Cyclops Upgrade Console and *not* the Auxiliary Upgrade Console.

\- When building the Resource Monitor item on your Cyclops, you should build the small one rather than the XL version and build it in the middle of the hull wall behind the cockpit instead of anywhere else. Doing otherwise seems to cause random hull damage or strange movements for some reason. This is a [known issue](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1398?tab=posts).

\- When loading back in with a Cyclops, you'll have to interact with the Submarine color menu (click the tabs) so that it re-applies your color settings. I'm pretty sure the Cyclops spawns in with the correct colors, it's only the color menu that needs the kick.

\- When loading back in with a Cyclops with a docked vehicle, sometimes said vehicle is attached incorrectly to the inside of the Cyclops. It doesn't cause any sort of gameplay issues, it's just kinda ugly if you notice it. If it bothers you as it bothers me, this is fixed by getting into your vehicle and re-docking. This only has to be done once.

## A Note on Vehicle Storage Mods

Note that there are  ̶f̶o̶u̶r̶  three vehicle storage mods working together in this collection: the [Vehicle Enhancement](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1327) mod allows accessing storage (and equipped modules) from within a Prawn or Seamoth. The [Access All Storages](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1355) mod allows accessing storage from outside the Prawn or Seamoth as long as you're in your base or the Cyclops (configurable). The [Advanced Inventory](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/490) mod allows accessing any expanded inventories (which I'm not using) and to quickly move inventory contents from one place to another. Unfortunately, I had to disable and remove the [Better Vehicle Storage](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/1471?tab=bugs) mod from this collection since it broke Seamoth storage. With that mod removed, all possible storage module upgrades (i.e. MK2, MK3, MK4 storage) were also removed 😔.

But it's okay! Because, thanks to the [Pickupable Storage Enhanced](https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/220) mod, you can "upgrade" your storage by nesting three or four waterproof lockers within a single waterproof locker which you can then pick up and put inside your Prawn/Seamoth storage container. The **massive** (but fair!) downside to this, of course, is that it takes exponentially more time to search through your nested inventory, and every moment spent outside and/or in your PDA is a moment closer to being mauled by hyper-aggressive deathrun fauna.
