# Description

The purpose of this collection is to standardize the mods and configurations we use for playing Manhunt in Valheim.

Intended to be used with Grandma's Manhunt Config. After install, start game, then quit and start again to make sure config has loaded properly.

# How to play Grandma's Manhunt

Manhunt is expected to be played in 1-2 hour rounds. The setup is optimized for 4 people, though any amount can play. There will always only be ONE Prey. All other players are Hunters.

1. Decide which player will be Prey.
2. The Prey makes new Character and New World with random seed (starts server).
3. Hunters wait until the Valkyrie drops the Prey, at which point they may fly in on their Valkyrie.
4. Hunters must retrieve the "Prey Trophy" from the Prey and mount it on a Boss Stone.
5. Hunters use the "Dominate Prey" power to make the Prey miserable.

**Hunter Rules**

1. Hunters must start with newly created character.
2. Hunters can only join the server once Prey is on the ground.
3. Hunters do whatever they can to retrieve the "Prey Trophy" from the Prey's Tombstone (or chests if the prey is being careless).
4. Use any means necessary except for cheat mods or console commands (other exploits are totally fine).

**Prey Player Rules**

1. Prey must start server on newly created world, random seed, and newly created character.
2. Survive as long as you can by any means.*
3. Use any means necessary except for cheat mods or console commands (other exploits are totally fine).

*Instead of using round time as a way to keep score, Bosses Defeated by Prey is another way to keep score. Or just don't keep score and play some sweaty cat and mouse.

# Main features

**Imbalanced Gameplay**

    - Prey has huge experience boost when well rested.
    - Prey will automatically ping their own location at decreased intervals (unless sneaking).
    - Hunter's "Grave Run" buff has much greater duration.
    - Hunters can mount "Prey Trophy" on Boss Stones to gain "Dominate Prey" power; Gives Eikthyr ability, but also explodes Prey if Prey is in proximity to Hunter.
    - Hunters will ping their own location when they have "Prey Trophy" in their inventory (sneaking does not stop this).

**All around accelerated progression.**

    - Unlocked recipes are free to craft.
    - Instant Crafting.
    - Meads process at rapid rates.
    - Foragables and Crops grow faster.
    - Boss Alter requirements decreased.
    - World size decreased.
    - World density increased.
    - Boss power duration increased.

**Build restrictions removed**

    - WorkBenches do not need shelters.
    - WorkBench upgrades do not need space.
    - Anything can be built in dungeons.
    - Build piece WorkBench requirements removed.
    - Just get creative. Try everything.

**Other Modifications**

    - Boat speed increased.
    - Loading screens removed.
    - Forced PVP Mode.
    - Hunters can form teams with "/invite 'playername'" in chat.
    - Taming time reduced.
    - PVP tweaks (includes Tamed animals protect Wards)
    - Probably some other things I forgot...

Hunters will benefit from getting acquainted commands for Smoothbrain's Groups mod; https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/Smoothbrain/Groups/

**Requirements**

- Vortex Mod Manager. 
- Benpinex; hopefully Vortex installs this for you.

# Bugs

- Will not be able to build buildpieces properly until inventory has been opened at least once.

# Recommended specs

Does not require much more power than vanilla Valhiem. Load times and stutters may increase due to dense world generation.

- Hotkeys and Equipment Slots breaks everything for some reason.
