# Before you start

***Please read as this is vital information regarding this collection.***

\*\*\*New Save and a CLEAN GAME is HIGHLY advised before doing anything, otherwise you might corrupt your current one and you will have to do extra work. \*\*\*

**Requirements**

\- [Ryu Mod Manager (v3.3)](https://www.nexusmods.com/yakuza0/mods/524?tab=description) - download it and run it once before you download and install the collection.&#x20;

\- Run Vortex and install the Yakuza 0 Support plugin. (currently v1.0.1)

\- Check settings, make sure "**Automatically use suggested path for staging folder**" is checked (use default or add your own staging folder and have **Hardlink Deployment** *applied*)

![Vortex Settings](https://ibb.co/X3mF74v)- You will have "***Redundant mods***", leave those alone and don't disable them, Vortex says they're *redundant*, but they work as intended.

\- ***ReShade*** (if you want the same visuals as in the screenshots) - [download from this link](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yt1w-EeFQVxhPK8BV_8D04J907PBQTqw/view?usp=sharing) (This contains all the shaders from [ReShade 6.1.1](https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_6.1.1_Addon.exe) that the presets use; the zip contains a Heavy and a Low preset - the screenshots were taken with the Heavy preset.)&#x20;

\*\*     ReShade instructions:\*\*

&#x20;       \- I suggest you remove ReShade if you've already installed it previously so you have the exact files from 6.1.1, before unzipping the contents.

&#x20;        \- Unzip the file and drag and drop the contents into your main Yakuza 0 install directory. (drag and drop media folder inside Yakuza 0. Note: you should have nothing to overwrite at this point.)

# Installation

If you've followed the steps so far and ReShade is working (or if you've skipped it entirely), simply click ***Add to Vortex*** and the collection should automatically start downloading and installing. (You'll have to do some clicking if you're not a ***premium*** Nexus user.)

## ***Failed Installations***

Some failed installations might occur, the way you fix this is by going into **Vortex**' ***Downloads*** section, *right click* the *mod/mods* that have failed to install and select ***"Unpack (as-is)".***
