Creatures XI by Piratelord is one of the best if not the best creature mod for Morrowind, however it has a fatal flaw that may go unnoticed: Silt Strider noises are edited by the mod and result in silent/near-silent silt striders. This is simply a replacement ESP for the mod that reverts these changes.
