# Main Features:

### A Complete Experience
*Constellations is not just a simple list of mods but includes tons of custom mods that fix incompatibilities and a lot of custom tweaking for a complete experience.*  
*Includes about 50 custom-made unreleased mods and a ton of mods that I specifically released for this collection*

#### Combat Redesign
*The combat flow is heavily modified by [True Directional Movement](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/51614) and [Ultimate Combat](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17196).*  
*Both 3rd person and 1st person include new features such as: Timed Block, Animation Cancelling, Head Shots,  
Lock-On, Dodging, and more*

#### Gameplay Rebalance
*The mod list is based on [Requiem](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/60888). This touches pretty much every aspect of gameplay balance, adds new content, and unlevels the world, which means that nothing scales with player level.  
Many of the original mechanics have been changed/rebalanced specifically to play well with this collection.*

#### Survival
*Players need to sleep when they're tired, eat when they're hungry, and equip themselves versus the cold.
All activities advance the time, e.g. harvesting animals, crafting armor, brewing potions*

#### Main Quest
*The Dragonborn storyline is no longer the main focus of the game, players have a 50% chance to be the Dragonborn.*  
*Includes options to make the character the Dragonborn and one to ensure the character isn't the Dragonborn*  
*Killing a dragon will start the main quest if the player is the Dragonborn, many changes and improvements to the main quest*  

#### Magic
*Adds over 200 new spells and over 120 enchantments that seamlessly integrate into the base game  
Learning new spells is no longer as simple as consuming books and comes with a whole slew of new mechanics*

#### Weapons and Armor
*Adds over 150 new weapons, including new weapon types with new animations (e.g. spears, halberds, katanas) and a lot of new unique weapons  
Adds over 200 new armor and clothing pieces, including a lot of variations of existing armor and completely new armor sets*

#### New Content/Cities
*Includes Bruma, Extended Cut: Saints and Seducers, Clockwork, Moon and Star, Undeath, plenty of new dungeons and points of interest, completely redesigns all towns, cities, and many points of interest*

# Install Instructions:

## The installation process can be a little complicated and the Vortex Collection feature still has some problems. If you run into any problems during or after the installation please [join my Discord](https://discord.gg/UF6aV3S) and read the faq, if you still run into issues feel free to use the support channel

**Before installing the collection:**
- A nexus premium account is highly recommended for an automated installation. Otherwise, the installation will take a **lot** of manual clicking.

- You need a fresh install of [Skyrim SE](https://store.steampowered.com/app/489830/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_Special_Edition/) on Steam in English. 

- You also need the [Anniversary Upgrade DLC](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1746860/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_Anniversary_Upgrade/) (Constellations doesn't work without it!)

- **Start the vanilla game and install the Anniversary Upgrade DLC**

- [Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe) (if you don't already have it)  

- [Head to this website](http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrimse.html) and download the **ENB version 0.480**  
  Open the Wrapper Version folder and copy d3d11.dll and d3decompiler_46e.dll and paste them into "Skyrim Special Edition" folder

- SKSE is already included in the collection, don't download it manually, and don't install it with the Vortex prompt

- Download [the downpatcher](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618?tab=files&file_id=318029) to revert the latest version of Skyrim to 1.6.353.0

- Run the downpatcher file, select your game folder, and let the app do the rest

**Installing the collection:**

- Install Vortex ([available here](https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files)), open it and update it to the latest version

- If you already have Skyrim SE mods installed in Vortex, it's highly recommended to uninstall them to avoid conflicts

- Head to the "Plugins" section in Vortex and press "Autosort Enabled" so that it displays "Autosort Disabled"

- Head to the "Settings" section in Vortex and disable: "Install Mods when downloaded" (if it's not already disabled)

- Install the collection (Press "Add to Vortex" at the top of this page)

- When prompted about which profile you want to use press "Use new Profile" **(IMPORTANT)**

- Don't install all optional mods. Check out the "Optional Mods" section below for more info.

**After installing the collection:**  

- If there are unresolved file conflicts: Please refer to the guide posted on [my Discord](https://discord.gg/UF6aV3S) in the #faq channel

- Head to the "Mods" section and "Deploy Mods" (repeat this process whenever you change **ANYTHING** in the collection)

- Head to the "Plugins" section and enable all "Disabled" plugins

- After that press "Sort Now" and wait until the process is done (repeat this process whenever you change **ANYTHING** in the collection)

- Head to the "Dashboard" section and press the 3 dots from the "Skyrim Script Extender", click "Make Primary"

- Start the Skyrim Launcher via Vortex and configure your graphic settings  

- **Always** start the game with the upper left "Play" icon in Vortex

# Optional Mods
--------------------------------------
### There are several optional mods included in Constellations, none of these are recommended but provide a way to configure the game to your liking.  

---

**Install instructions for optional mods:**
- Head to the "Collections" section in Vortex and add the "Recommended" filter to "Required"  
- Read the description of the mods (here or when you install the mod)
- After installing the mod, install/activate the mod and deploy mods 
- Head to the "Mods" section, open "Manage Rules", and press "Hide Resolved"
- Load the optional mods after everything else
- Deploy and sort mods again

### Constellations - Performance ENB Preset
Increases the performance of Constellations while still retaining most of the visual quality. (up to 10-15 fps increase)

### Constellations - Disable Survival Mode
Disables all needs (sleeping, eating, cold) automatically on a new playthrough. You can disable the needs on an ongoing playthrough through the in-game Skyrim settings. (under gameplay)

### Constellations - Easy Mode
Reduces damage taken by 50% and slightly increases sell prices. This is only recommended if you enjoy a more casual playthrough. The game will still be somewhat challenging even with Easy Mode enabled.

### Constellations - Reduced Difficulty
Reduces damage taken by 25%. If you have problems with the difficulty of Constellations this can help.

### Alternate Conversation Camera (Normal Version)
This will revert the change that 3rd person dialogue camera switches to 1st person. Not recommended!

### Die When Killed
**Warning, enables permadeath!** Only use this if you're at least somewhat familiar with the difficulty of Constellations. Have Fun! ;)

# Widescreen (21:9) Support
--------------------------------------

**Install instructions for widescreen support:**  

- Make sure the collection works as intended

- The optional mod "Constellations - Compass Quest Marker" is not compatible

# Known Issues
--------------------------------------

- Trying to unlock a locked container with controller that you can't unlock causes the controller to stop working (To fix this press "Alt+Tab" -> Left Mouse Click -> "Alt+Tab")
- Winter season has some small graphical issues
- If you're character's skin mismatches a simple save and load fixes the issue
- If you run into problems related to sheathing/animations/camera please re-equip your weapons. (this can happen after switching PoV quickly)
- Widescreen setups are not properly supported yet. It requires external mods to fix many UI elements.

- Skeletons no longer have fire vulnerabitlity, reduced shock resistance by 10%
- Increased the resistances of the Giant near Whiterun Farms (Companion Quest)
- Reworked Book distribution, reduced chance to find smithing manuals in bookshelves
- The Craftsman's Manual value from 100 to 60
- Orc Racial triggers when under 40% health instead of 33%

- Reduced ranged damage of many NPC archer by about 10% (many higher level enemies and skeletons)
- Bandit Archers gain 5% damage increase instead of 20% for certain Marksman perks (= 25% reduced ranged damage for most bandits)
- Reduced Spriggan pierce/blunt/ranged resistance by about 10%
- Increased the sneak skill scaling by about 20% and increased base sneak value
- Reduced the aggro range of enemies
- Dual Casting manacost from x2 to x2.15, magnitude increased from 2.25 to 2.35
- Selling items is 10% less lucrative (wasn't working in R5)
