# Before you start

Respect all mods instructions while taking into account that documents/.../starfield/data will compile in common/data due to a .dll with sfse and that chaining .bats in custom.ini has reported errors and we will use mods.txt as a reference instead :)

SFSE can be linked as a tool within the starfield vortex dashboard which is how the game needs to be ran "sfse.exe".

Some textures will need to be opened in file manager from vortex. If it opens to include "/data" it will load but some will have this buried in another folder. If so then you will need to find the "/data" included which you will then paste into the original folder you opened in file manager and then delete the remaining contents of this folder aside from "/data" to get vortex to deploy the "/data" contents properly. Upon deployment after this edit you will be prompted to choose to save changes which you do want to save.

*Create mods.txt in common/starfield (fov of your choice from presets included in TrueAim needs to be identified in this command and you can confirm these are running in game by opening the console with "~" and seeing that they have ran in the history of the log) and write:*

Create StarfieldCustom.ini in documents/.../starfield (if you need to add more .bat's write in mods.txt as listed above, also if you use Bethini your custom.ini can look different and still run fine so don't panic but when in doubt use below) and write:

Create plugins.txt alongside starfieldcustom.ini in documents. This is where .esp/.esm files will be enabled similar to the test file tag in the .ini that is no longer preferred and write:

Finally if you want to customize your StarUI preset similar to the minimalist setup in prior revisions you just need to ctrl+f to enemy healthbars and change from = 1 to = 0 and ctrl+f to Crosshair and click down one to "crosshair replace mode" here you can override to DotOnly or use a custom option as explained in the file.

Starfield+

Legendaries and XP curves are the furthest from vanilla but it makes rare drops much better. Custom UI. Tons of new textures for weapons and LUT. Avoided mechanics overhauls for stealth, hacking, speech etc. Go grab if you want them :)
