# Before you start

Some of the mods may need you to setup their characteristics and modifiers within the config menu in the loading screen,&#x20;
or within actual game files choosing configs for certain things.&#x20;

**Requirements**

*   *Better Trader requires you to set the trade config file in the proper spot, read the mod page for help*

*   To improve workbench range, you can set the desired range in the config menu manager.

    *(Careful with range as you can screw with events that occur at your base!)*

**Best practices**

*   *Read through the mods, and if you feel like they aren't working look up a video on how people set them up, a few times we just never knew that we actually had to set values or actually add files to specific areas.*

*Load is pretty vanilla so if you can run base game you are good!*

*   GPU - A potato Can Run This

*   RAM - Don't expect anything less than 16 will let you also run discord

*   CPU - its a rock that thinks, potato is fine.
